On Our Knees
National Prayer for Life Campaign

At a Mass on May 3, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the passing of His Eminence John Cardinal O’Connor, Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan of New York initiated a National Prayer Campaign for Life, which is being co-sponsored by the Sisters of Life and the Knights of Columbus.

Knights, Catholics and all people of good will are invited to join in raising up a great prayer for life across the nation through the daily recitation of this prayer:

Free copies of the prayer card are available in the parish office or outside the adoration chapel.  Please take some and help transform the culture through prayer!

You can also get more information on the campaign and read the prayer online.

40 Days for Life - Wednesday Vigil

The 40 Days for Life North Dakota campaign is increasing its efforts to have an impact year-round.  There is only one facility in North Dakota conducting abortions, the Red River Women’s Clinic in downtown Fargo, and Wednesday is the day when most abortions are performed.  Churches in the area have committed to praying in front of the facility every Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Sts. Anne & Joachim has adopted the noon-1 p.m. hour – so we need your help!  If you have a free lunch hour, please consider heading to 512 1st Avenue North and praying in front of the abortion facility.  Now is the time!  Now is the hour!  Please commit to be a witness to the sanctity of human life.

Please stop by the parish office to sign a Statement of Peace, or print it off here and return it to Nicole Welle Nere in the office.

Cenacles of Life Rosary -
Saturdays at Sts. Anne & Joachim

You are invited to come and pray the pro-life rosary every Saturday at 8 a.m. before the 8:30 Mass in the Magnificat Chapel.  We begin with the Cenacles of Life prayer and follow with the rosary.  The sacrifice of getting up on a Saturday morning can be a real act of love and a form of fasting.  Coming together to pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament - Jesus - is one of the best ways to pray for life.

Weekly Rosary - Wednesdays

The rosary is recited every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in front of the Red River Women's Clinic abortion facility and is led by St. Mary's Cathedral.  Wednesdays are typically the busiest day of the week for the clinic.  Everyone is welcome.
