RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
At Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, we believe that education in the Catholic faith results in adult Catholics who are active in their parishes and share their faith in the community. We continually strive to make educational opportunities available to children and adults and we welcome your suggestions and involvement.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
If you have not registered your child(ren) for R.E. this
year, please fill out a
form
and return it to the parish office. We need this
information now to be properly prepared for the coming year.
Please prayerfully consider volunteering to teach
or to be a
classroom aide.
You do not need children in the program in order to
volunteer,
you need a desire to share the faith with
children!
Seeds
Gospel Weeklies: Ages Four Through Kindergarten
During the 9:15 and 11 a.m. Sunday Masses in the school year, children
ages four through kindergarten are invited to participate in the Seeds
Gospel Weeklies program. During these sessions, the readings and
Gospel are explained at a child’s level. Volunteer teachers lead
the children to their classroom at the start of Mass, and the children
return after the homily.
Grades 1 through 7
Connie Dulany, religious education coordinator, works with volunteer catechists for grades 1 through 7. Religious Education classes for children in grades 1 through 7 take place on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at Sullivan Middle School, 5600 25th St. S. Registered parishioners are asked to prayerfully consider volunteering their time as teachers or classroom aides. You do not have to have children enrolled in the program to become involved. It is the responsibility of all adults to assist in the passing on of the faith.
