YOUTH PHOTO GALLERY
Steubenville 2010:
Fourteen youth, three chaperones, and Fr. Gunwall attended the Steubenville Conference the weekend of July 30 at the University of St. Thomas. Everyone grew deeper in their faith, made new friendships, strengthened old ones...and had a great time doing it! After the conference, everyone went to the Water Parks of America to let loose - and learn surfing moves from Fr. Gunwall!
Jr. High Youth Camp 2010:
Junior High Youth Camp was a huge success this year! Kris and Fr.
Gunwall took 19 youth on an adventure to lake country June 15-17, where they
braved mosquitoes, thunderstorms, and Fr. Gunwall's massive waves! Our
days were filled with laughter, fun times, and many, many memories.
Thank you to the parents who signed their children up and to all those who
prayed for our safety at camp. We hope to expand it even larger next
summer!
Ski Trip 2010:
Youth in grades 5-12 went along on the annual ski trip to Andes
Tower Hills in Alexandria, MN on January 18, 2010. Once again,
Sts. Anne & Joachim can claim no broken bones!
Winter Mission Trip:
Youth director Kris Hintz took eight of the youth on a winter mission trip to Mary's Place in Minneapolis, December 28-29, 2009. The volunteers had a great
time helping out with the children at the daycare.
Christmas Caroling 2009:
The youth went Christmas caroling on December 13th to entertain
residents at Elim and Villa Maria nursing homes and the rectory!
Everyone celebrated our choral success afterwards with cookies and
cocoa in the youth center.
Volunteering at Churches United for the Homeless:
On December 9, 2009 the 8th grade class volunteered at Churches United for the Homeless. They cooked and served a meal, painted bathrooms, and worked in the store.
